Last night I went to see Wicked at the Opera House in Boston. I'd been looking forward to it since I hadn't really been to see anything in awhile, and it didn't disappoint, although it wasn't quite as fantastic as seeing it on Broadway. My seat was miles closer this time, and the Opera House is so much smaller than the Gershwin in New York, so that made it quite different. I think my favorite part of the night was hearing the guy sitting behind me tell his friend at the end that what he liked best was getting to find out that "it's like the Wicked Witch wasn't bad at all, she was actually good," like it was some big revelation he was letting everyone else in on.
Big urge now to listen to the Idina/Kristin original Broadway cast recording!

Hooray for Goodreads! I discovered Goodreads while I was experimenting with the different applications for books on Facebook. The only thing I don't really like about it is that the widget thingy in my Facebook profile doesn't show the authors' names under the book title. I love lists and collections of all kinds, so I love how it lists little thumbnails of all the book covers and looks cute and great. And now I've discovered how to paste the html for the widget into my blog! Enjoy my shelves.
